Stroll : The city within its walls (~2h)

Once a fortified town, Angoulême has become a city with a view over its river. A town of art and history, it boasts a rich and varied heritage that bears witness to its prestigious past. It's also a city of images and comic strips, and you'll be amazed by the squares and streets that were the setting for Honoré de Balzac's novel Les illusions perdues. The beautiful views over the surrounding countryside from its ramparts or along its streets invite you to take a stroll.
